Description:
  • Daily observations of various temperature readings and pressure (from October 1892) given in graph form. Pressure in bottom of table for summer months, top of table for winter months. Very occasional weather remarks. Covers the period 1888 - 12 September 1919. Details on the location of the thermometer and key to graphs are given in the front of the first volume. First volume also includes pasted in newspaper cutting on the Great Frost of 1895. This is reflected in the record for January - February 1895 in which the graph extends off the bottom of the page indicating -13 degrees in London. Comments on extremes observed up to May 1916 are given in the front of book 3.
