The Met Office and other international meteorological agencies operated ocean weather ships (OWS) across following stations in North Atlantic. Some of the stations went by different names which have been included below as well as the period they operated.
A - Alpha (1954 to 1974)
I - India or item (1947 to 1975)
J - Juliette or jig (1947 to 1975)
K - KIlo (1957 to 1972)
L - Lima (1975 to 1996)
