Description:
  • Hand written and illuminated Grant of Arms dated 1990. Witten on parchment with original seals of the Heralds of the College of Arms. Held in large box frame with decorated corner mounts. Met Office coat of arms is detailed in description and drawn in top left of document. The motto states 'per scientiam tempestates praedicere' which roughly translates as 'to predict storms through science' tempestates is sometimes also translated as 'weather'.
