Description:
- Made by the company Short and Mason of London in 1943. Made for the measurement of atmospheric pressure in millibars. The case is made of stainless steel and has a stainless steel mercury reservoir. Mounted on the case is a thermometer calibrated to deg. Celsius temperature scale. The case is black with brass coloured trim. At the top of the instrument is the serial number S2654/43/60. Below the serial number is: Barometer station MK2 Ref Met 1543. In the middle of the instrument is a brass plaque: Standard conditions. Temperature 0 deg C. lower line is unclear looks like: g=980-665cm/?? (unreadable).
