Description:
  • The case is made of oak and dates from around 1870 and was made to measure atmospheric pressure in inches of mercury. Still has the original paper scale and information. Mounted with a thermometer with a boxwood scale. The case has twin indication pointers manually operated by a rack and pinion system. This instrument was possibly a presentation piece and not a scientific instrument.
